A. C. Strip

A.C. "Ace" Strip is one of the founders and a principal in the firm and has practiced law for more than 60 years. After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from The Ohio State University, he received a Juris Doctor degree in 1960.

Mr. Strip concentrates his practice in the field of business, with a heavy emphasis on corporate insolvency and work-out plans. He has extensive business experience, having handled several hundred corporate insolvencies, both in State court and Federal Bankruptcy court. He is regularly appointed by courts in many Ohio counties to oversee financially distressed businesses.

Mr. Strip has been a member of the Columbus and American Bar Associations and was a recipient of the Columbus Bar Association’s Award of Merit for community service.

Throughout his career, Mr. Strip has served in several national positions to further the cause of legal aid for indigent defendants. He has also served on numerous civic, service and community boards, and as a member of the City Council of Dublin for eight years.

Mr. Strip has served as a volunteer mediator for the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas and the United States District Court. He is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth and Eleventh Circuits and the Supreme Court of the United States.

He is past president of the Columbus Metropolitan Library and the National Urban Libraries Council.
