John Wm. Hoppers
John Hoppers, a founder of the firm, concentrates in the areas of planning and execution of business transactions, organization of professional practices and business formation. He also works extensively in estate planning, probate matters, and state receivership law. He has served as a hearing officer for the Ohio State Dental Board, the Ohio State Medical Board and has been rated AV by the Martindale-Hubbell rating of attorney performance.
Mr. Hoppers is a member of the Ohio and Columbus Bar Associations and The CBA Foundation, admitted to practice in the Courts of Ohio, the Federal District Court, and the United States Supreme Court. He is active in church and community service organizations, including Columbus Downtown Rotary, and has served on several Boards of Trustees for non-profit organizations. Currently, he is on the Executive Committee of the Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame, and a board member of the Hall of Fame Foundation.
Additionally, he serves on the Board of trustees of the Wesleyan Communities Retirement Centers. He served four years as Ohio State Chairman for ESGR, (Employer Support of the Guard and Reserves), a volunteer agency of the U.S. Department of Defense created to assist Guardsmen and Reservists in dealing with employers and preventing employment issues resulting from deployment. Mr. Hoppers received the Secretary of Defense Lifetime Achievement Award, as well as several Presidential citations for his volunteer services to the Defense Department. Mr. Hoppers also serves as a trustee of the Foundation for Ohio Guard and Reserve, which acts to provide support and funding in recognition of our Reserve Forces and their Employers.
Mr. Hoppers has been a lecturer and adjunct at the Ohio State University School of Dentistry and Capital Law School, lecturing in the fields of business law and tax. He currently serves as a member of the Advisory Council to the College of Liberal Arts at West Liberty University.
