Wills, Trusts and Estate Planning
Planning for life’s uncertainties is both important and urgent. Without the appropriate documents in place in an emergency or tragic situation, your loved ones may be without the tools and instructions necessary to protect you and your estate. Although the topics are often difficult to discuss and plan for, the investment of time and energy into your estate plan will provide a sense of comfort and peace in knowing that all details are covered.
At Strip, Hoppers, Leithart, McGrath & Terlecky, our attorneys will carefully craft the documents you need for your life and situation. By working with you to determine your goals and objectives, we will craft the right documents to fit your needs. For most clients, this includes the creation of a will, financial and health care powers of attorney, and a living will. We won’t recommend documents you don’t need. If you don’t need a trust, for example, we will tell you.
If you do need more than just a will, our attorneys have the know-how to navigate the complex legal and tax issues that you may face. Our trusts are created with your goals in mind and often plan to minimize the payment of taxes and the destruction of wealth. Trusts are used to control how your assets are used in the future when you are no longer in control.
In addition to document preparation and planning, our attorneys also assist in estate administration and litigation.
